I’m passionate about engaging within the different communities and sharing how the ATSIDNQ Network can help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families connect with and support others who may be experiencing similar challenges.
Hello, my name is Nilisa and I am a Waanyi woman. I am based in Toowoomba and cover the Darling Downs, Southern Downs and Lockyer regions. Some of the towns I visit include Oakey, Dalby, Miles, Goondiwindi, Stanthorpe, Crows Nest and Gatton. I am passionate about helping others access and discover supports and information that can help improve and benefit their lives and wellbeing.
Hi I’m Barry. I’m based in Cairns and cover Mackay across to Mt Isa and up to the Torres Strait Islands. I’ve been busy yarning with mob up North about the ATSIDNQ Network, as I believe that people with a disability and their supporters will benefit from joining the Network to be connected.
Hi I’m Joanne. While I am based in Rockhampton I cover all the CQ area. Born and raised in the bush, it is very important to me that everyone knows what support and services are available — everywhere, not just in the cities. Sometimes you just need to know that you are not alone and there is a whole network of people willing to help and share their experiences.
Hi I’m Becca. I am based in Rockhampton and cover all of Central Queensland. I am passionate about helping others find their voice and ensuring that their voices are heard, and making sure everyone has access to support and services. I have grown up in the bush and have been fortunate to have lived across many areas from the NSW-QLD border all the way up to the NT.
